Irvinesoft Inc. (“Irvinesoft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Electric Bike Finder (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains the information we handle when you use the Service, which helps people search and compare electric bicycles, view product details, use optional AI-assisted search, and find e-bike regulation information by location.

Information we handle
Information you provide
When you search, we process the filters and search criteria you choose. If you use AI-assisted search, we process the prompt you submit to generate product-search filters. You may choose a city or other location to receive location-specific product and regulation information. The Service does not request your device’s GPS location.
Please do not include passwords, payment details, government identifiers, confidential business information, or other sensitive personal information in a search prompt.
Information collected from your browser or device
When your browser or device makes an API request, our application records the request time, a device identifier, IP address, endpoint, request method, and whether AI was used. It may also record browser, browser-version, operating-system, and operating-system-version information supplied with the request. We use these records to operate and secure the Service, enforce request limits, diagnose issues, and measure AI usage and cost.
The device identifier and language preference are stored in your browser’s local storage. The Service may also use local storage for interface resources or preferences. You can clear local storage through your browser settings. Clearing it removes the identifier and preferences from that browser, but does not delete server records already associated with the prior identifier.
The application database records request and device metadata and AI usage statistics; it is not designed to store the text of your search prompt. However, when search state is reflected in a page URL, an AI prompt may appear in that URL and in browser history. The request may also be present in logs maintained by infrastructure providers. Do not enter sensitive information in prompts.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide product search, product details, location-specific results, and regulation information;
- convert an AI-assisted search prompt into structured search filters when you request that feature;
- operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Service;
- enforce usage limits and prevent abuse;
- measure aggregate usage and AI service costs; and
- comply with law and protect our rights, users, and others.
The Service does not currently provide user accounts, checkout, or purchases. We do not use AI-assisted search to make decisions about a person’s eligibility for employment, housing, credit, education, insurance, health care, or another similarly significant opportunity.
AI-assisted search and service providers
When you request AI-assisted search, your prompt, our instructions, any selected location, relevant regulation reference information, and a pseudonymous device identifier are sent to OpenAI through its API to produce structured search filters. The current application requests that OpenAI not store the response as application state. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default and that abuse-monitoring logs may retain prompts and responses for up to 30 days, subject to exceptions. OpenAI’s policies govern its own processing. See OpenAI API data controls and OpenAI business data privacy.
We rely on service providers to host and operate parts of the Service, maintain databases and networks, and provide AI-assisted search. Those providers process information as needed to deliver their services. They may also collect information under their own notices when you visit their services directly.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or complete a merger, reorganization, financing, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
Product information and third-party links
The Service displays product information associated with third-party retailers, including Amazon and AliExpress, and may link to retailer websites. We do not process orders or payments. If you follow a third-party link, that retailer’s privacy notice and terms govern your activity there. We do not control third-party sites or their privacy practices. Any affiliate or sponsored relationship will be identified as required by law and at or near the relevant content.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating the Service, enforcing request limits, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Request and device records may be retained for operational and security purposes. Service providers may apply their own retention periods as described in their terms and policies. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal requirements and routine backup cycles.
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident requires notice under applicable law, we will provide that notice as required.
Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Some rights are subject to exceptions, and we may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
To make a privacy request, email hello@irvinesoft.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Describe the request and the Service you used. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also clear local storage in your browser; that action does not remove server records already associated with the previous device identifier.
California residents
If the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to us, California residents may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and obtain information about disclosures of their personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing, subject to legal limits. We do not sell personal information for money. The current application does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger a right to limit. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. You may submit a request using the contact above or authorize an agent where permitted by law.
California’s updated CCPA regulations took effect January 1, 2026. Some new requirements have phased deadlines, and their applicability depends on the business and its processing activities. The Service’s AI-assisted product search is not used to make significant decisions about individuals.
Children
The Service is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact hello@irvinesoft.com. We will review the request and take appropriate action, including deletion where required by law. The FTC amended its COPPA Rule in 2025; covered services must follow the current rule’s requirements for parental consent, disclosures, and retention.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. We will change the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Any updated Policy applies from its stated effective date, subject to notices or consent required by law.
