Maine Regulations
- Electric bicycle classes, helmets, and path access: Maine defines three e-bike classes under 750 watts. Class 3 is barred from paths unless a path is adjacent to a roadway or the local authority permits it; Class 1 and 2 generally follow bicycle access rules. Operators and passengers under 16 must wear helmets. No separate Class 3 minimum age was verified.
