KansasElectric-assisted bicycle classes and access
Kansas recognizes Class 1, 2, and 3 electric-assisted bicycles and generally applies bicycle rights and duties without vehicle licensing, registration, title, or insurance. E-bikes may use places open to bicycles, including paths and trails, subject to local/path restrictions. Operators under 16 may not operate Class 3 except as passengers. A proposed 2026 helmet bill did not become law.
