Delaware Regulations
- Electric bicycle classes, helmets, and path access: Delaware defines three e-bike classes up to 750 watts and generally applies bicycle rights and duties. E-bikes may not be operated on sidewalks under motor power; path authorities may restrict use, and natural-surface nonmotorized trail use may be barred. Operators under 16 may not operate Class 3; Class 3 operators and passengers must wear helmets, and a speedometer is required. Bicycle helmet requirements apply to riders under 18.
